Petru Lucinschi says he did not meet people who would accept Voronin’s vocabulary
“I have not yet met persons who would accept a vocabulary like Vladimir Voronin’s. I know Vladimir Voronin. He says what he thinks without thinking first,” the second President of Moldova Petru Lucinschi said in a news conference on November 18, answering reporters’ questions, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Petru Lucinschi said that when a person is dressed in clothes of a party leader or holds a high-ranking position, they cannot say anything wrong as they represent a part of society, a people. “Such things are inadmissible because the people make wrong impressions. I’m human and also make mistakes, but I could not afford to say rude words when I was head of state,” he stated.
Asked by the reporters when a party leader should leave, Petru Lucinschi said when time comes. He stressed that he went out of politics at the age of 61 and was invited to join a number of parties during the next five years. “This stubbornness of Voronin is abnormal as the other leaders say they would treat the members of the Communists Party differently if there wasn’t Voronin. If I were him, I would withdraw,” Petru Lucinschi said.
