Placard “I’m a liar” put on Parliament rostrum

Two Communist MPs put a placard with the words “I’m a liar” on the Parliament’s rostrum where the prosecutor general was to present his report. It happened after Communist lawmaker Zinaida Chistruga put the prosecutor a question, but did not receive an answer, Info-Prim Neo reports. “The attitude towards the applications filed by the Communist MPs points to political servility,” said Zinaida Chistruga. In reply, Valeriu Zubko said the Communist lawmakers’ gesture was an intimidation act. The sheet of paper was removed by Democrat MP Valeriu Guma, at the instruction of the Speaker. Marian Lupu said it was lack of respect for the state symbols as the placard was put above Moldova’s coat of arms. Valeriu Zubko was questioned in Parliament on Friday at the request of Speaker Marian Lupu, after Prime Minister Vlad Filat demanded that the prosecutor be dismissed because he showed lack of professionalism when dealing with the raider attacks.
