The signatories of the agreement on the formation of the Political Alliance for a European Moldova, the PLDM and PDM, pledge not to stage mutual political attacks and take other actions (including attacks on persons and public accusations) that can destabilize the political situation in Moldova. This is said in the agreement on the formation of the alliance that was made public on January 26, IPN reports.
The accord stipulates that the alliance will not allow naming or keeping persons convicted of acts of corruption in posts. If such cases, confirmed by court decisions, are identified during the joint government, they will not be used to politically attack the partners, but measures will be taken, with the consent of the Alliance’s Council, to remedy the situation.
The signatories will not block the taking of decisions inside the Alliance so as not to hamper the functioning of the Alliance or of state institutions. If the Premier considers that a Cabinet member or a manager of governmental institution should be replaced, the replacement is obligatorily initiated only after discussing the issue with and obtaining the consent of the Alliance member that delegated that person. A new candidate is fielded by the same member of the Alliance.
The two parties also pledge to support the Government of the Alliance, until the term of the current legislature expires, and to take no measures that could lead to early elections.
The members of the Alliance will mutually coordinate the publicly expressed opinions about the most important social problems and problems related to the administration of the state power. Also, the members - the political parties and their parliamentary factions – will not initiate and will not allow members to pass from one party/faction to the other party/faction that is a member of the Alliance.
The signatories will vote the bills proposed by the parliamentary opposition only if these will bring an important value for society and the Alliance’s Council decides to support them.
