The Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova (PLDM) became the target of denigrating campaigns that are sponsored from outside, the party’s deputy chairman Vadim Pistrinciuc said in the program “Politics” on TV7 channel, IPN reports.
Vadim Pistrinciuc specified that enormous sums of money are pumped into opinion leaders, information portals and some of the political organizations of Moldova. These campaigns are sponsored mainly by Russia, which does not approve of the PLDM.
Vadim Pistrinciuc said the party managed to carry out only about 60% of the electoral promises, but the accomplishments are rather important and represent a success. Among the main achievements of the PLDM, Pistrinciuc named the liberalization of the visa regime and the signing of the Association Agreement with the EU.
The deputy chairman of the PLDM also said that before the elections, the relations with the other components of the government coalition are normal, despite the disputes over different problems. In the parliamentary elections of this November, the PLDM will focus on the undecided voters and on a part of the supporters of the opposition.
The permanent invitee to “Politics” Igor Botan expressed a different opinion about the performance of the ruling political parties. “The situation is dramatic. Ukraine was on the verge of a precipice owing to the poor quality of the political elites. The quality of our political elites is not better,” said the expert.
