PLDM reports massive residence visa issuing cases

The Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) sounded the alarm. Vadim Pistrinciuc, a member of the party’s electoral staff, told a press briefing on Sunday that there were identified massive visa residence issuing cases on the election day and several days before the polls, Info-Prim Neo reports. “The number of people who go to vote in settlements without knowing where their houses are has increased. We insist that steps be taken to prevent frauds and violations of the electoral legislation. Therefore, we demand that the State Informational Resources Center “Registru” attentively verify the data,” said Vadim Pistrinciuc. The PLDM considers that the Center should hold an internal inquiry. Vadim Pistrinciuc also said that his party submitted an application to the Central Election Commission, asking that it should call on all the independent observers and the observers of the political parties to be vigilant if suspicions of the kind appear. Vadim Pistrinciuc announced the PLDM possesses information about cases of vote buying, but did not want to say in what settlements so as not to be accused of intervention in the electoral process. “We are concerned about the information coming from districts. We will demand investigating every electoral irregularity separately as the issuing of visas without a real justification is an attempt to fix the elections,” he stated.
