Representatives of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) will not take part in the opening round of negotiations on the formation of a new government coalition, which will be held by the Democratic Party on October 30, at 4pm, acting Prime Minister Valeriu Strelet announced after tendering his resignation to President Nicolae Timofti, IPN reports.
“The PLDM will not take part in the negotiations set for today. We are having consultations inside the party. Meetings will be held today and tomorrow at the local offices of the PLDM. On Sunday, we will have a meeting in an extended format in Chisinau and will decide how to act further,” stated Valeriu Strelet.
Asked if he will remain in politics, Valeriu Strelet said he will remain until the Liberal Democratic Party is re-formed, revitalized and prepared for new electoral struggles.
The Democratic Party announced that negotiations on the formation of a parliamentary majority and a new government will be opened today, October 30, at 4pm.
