Police arrests high-ranking criminals

The police arrested the criminals Constantin Varzari (51 years old), the so-called “supervisor” for Moldova, and Boris Olan (55 years old). The two are from Durlesti, Chisinau Municipality, and are known in the criminal ranks as “Partos” (Porthos) and “Borea oaie” (Boris the Sheep), Info-Prim Neo learned from a press release of the Ministry of Interior (MoI). According to the MoI, Varzari and Olan had begun preparing meetings with other criminal groups in Moldova. Varzari was supposed to recruit and appoint an “under-supervisor” for each district and they would collect money for the crime world. The investigation found that Varzari also kept in touch with the “thief-in-law” Vladimir Moscalciuc, a.k.a. Makena, who is currently under arrest. Varzari consulted with the latter regarding various issues in orchestrating the criminal activities and gaining money. Moreover, the investigation revealed that in May-September 2011, Varzari and Olan tricked and threatened a man from Cricova into paying them €5000. Criminal proceedings were initiated on this case. The police are still gathering evidence against the two.
