Representatives of the working groups said the political agreement on the formation of the ruling coalition is 99% ready. After the July 16 meeting, these said only particular terms must be finalized and the text of the agreement can be signed by the party leaders, who are to take a decision in this regard, IPN reports.

“The groups of experts almost finished work on the agreement on the formation of the ruling alliance. It is about 99% ready. Some points are yet to be edited and we hope the leaders will reach a political agreement as to their responsibilities in each sector. In principle, the text of the accord can be signed anytime, when a final decision is reached,” said Democratic MP Sergiu Sarbu.

Liberal MP Valeriu Munteanu stated that the political leaders are yet to decide particular terms that could not be finalized within the groups. Some provisions will be reformulated or removed. The working groups drafted the political agreement of the future coalition and will put it on the negotiating table so that it is signed when all the political matters are clarified.

According to the representatives of the working groups, the experts will hold a new meeting on July 17 to start work on the government program. The leaders will also meet to make a final decision.
