Prime Minister Vlad Filat does not rule out the possibility that managers of state institutions may be discharged after the Parliament examines the issue of raider attacks on the banking system, Info-Prim Neo reports. “These raider attacks have affected not only the banks, but also the country’s security,” the Premier said when asked by the press to comment on the initiatives to examine the issue in a special sitting of Parliament. He stated the lawful shareholders of the banks must get back their property and those involved in the attacks, either persons or institutions, must be punished. “No matter what party promoted a manager or another, these managers must present reports on the given cases. Conclusions will be then drawn and there will be decided the measures that must be taken. We will no more tolerate the situation when we have illegalities and offenders,” he stated. The Premier said the persons who orchestrated those attacks and the beneficiaries (or beneficiary) are mainly known. “It is thus important to have this discussion, which should focus on the country’s interests as it was an attack against the country. In the end we must have solutions and penalties so that nobody dares to do something like that in the future,” said Vlad Filat. He also said he told the leader of the Liberal-Democratic group Valeriu Strelet he would like the parliamentary hearings to be preceded by discussions in the legislature’s commissions so that all the MPs come informed and with definite proposals to the plenary sitting. “In the meetings of the commissions and at the lawmakers’ request, we will present the shorthand reports of the meetings of the Committee on Financial Stability that I chaired. We set clear tasks for every institution in that meetings and we must see if they were carried out,” said the Prime Minister.
