Premier seeks monthly reports on ongoing investment projects

Prime Minister Pavel Filip reiterated the Government’s commitment to continue the dialogue with the development partners in order to increase the efficiency of the infrastructure projects and to extend the partnerships for the future. Such statements were made in a meeting of the Supervisory Board that monitors the major infrastructure projects implemented with the financial assistance of foreign partners, IPN reports.

According to the Government’s press service, the Premier requested the competent ministries to present, by –end-March, a plan of measures for eliminating the deficiencies related to the implementation of investment projects. “The most important thing is to formulate good and viable proposals so that these are financed by the foreign partners. Also, more openness, energy and initiative in implementing investment projects designed to improve people’s lives are needed,” said Pavel Filip.

The Premier asked that the competent authorities should monthly present reports on the implementation of projects in order to ensure their successful application. The representatives of the EU, EBRD and EIB formulated recommendations concerning the implementation of the discussed projects, noting that their correct and professional management and ensuring of transparency in the process contribute directly to the efficient utilization of the investment assistance.
