President Nicolae Timofti opened the consultations aimed at selecting a candidate for the post of Prime Minister, IPN reports.

The first round of consultations, with the Liberal-Democratic parliamentary group, will take place on March 20, starting at 3pm. In two hours the head of state will meet with the Democratic faction.

The President’s spokesman Vlad Turcanu has told IPN that the hour and date of the consultations with the Liberal faction haven’t been set yet.

The journalist will have access for protocol filming.
