President Igor Dodon signed a decree by which Artur Gumeniuc is appointed as adviser to the President on defense and national security, secretary of the Supreme Security Council, IPN reports.
Artur Gumeniuc received the President’s agreement to stimulate the work of the Supreme Security Council with the aim of solving national security problems of major importance.
The Supreme Security Council analyzes the work of ministries and other central administrative authorities and presents recommendations concerning internal and external state security to the President.
The team of advisers to the President also includes: Maxim Lebedinski, adviser on legal matters and institutional relations; Elena Gorelov, adviser on economic matters; Corneliu Popovich, adviser on education, culture and research; Ion Perju, adviser on agroindustrial issues and public administration; Vasile Sova, adviser on reintegration, and Andrei Neguta, adviser on foreign policy matters.
