President Timofti signed decree after being sure that 51 were secured, MP

Unaffiliated MP Mihai Godea considers that President Nicolae Timofti signed the decree to designate Vlad Filat as Prime Minister after being sure that 51 votes were secured. He stated his opinion in the program “Moldova live” on the public TV channel Moldova 1, IPN reports.

“I don’t think that Nicolae Timofti signed a decree with 51 votes not being secured. It is hard to say from where these votes will come, but I believe they are the votes of the PDM and the group of Misin. We will see, but 49 votes were more or less secured,” said Mihai Godea.

He also said that he will not change his position and will not vote for Vlad Filat as Prime Minister as he considers that the new government program of Filat will not differ from the previous one. “Reforms haven’t been done. Instead of improving, things worsened,” said Mihai Godea.

He believes that a compromise was reached and Vlad Filat will head the Government until the 2014 elections.

The PDM said they will vote for Vlad Filat if they are sure that the new government program is better. The group of Dodon will take a decision at a meeting the National Council of the Party of Socialists next week, while the group of Misin will decide after they analyze the program of the Premier designate.

The Filat 2 Government was removed by the votes of the Communist and Democratic MPs, the group of Dodon and of the independents Mihai Godea and Sergiu Sarbu. Afterward, President Nicolae Timofti designated Vlad Filat as a candidate for premiership.
