Progressive Society Party has a new leader

The Progressive Society Party struggles against dictatorship inside political parties and decided to change its leadership so as to give an example of how this phenomenon can be combated. The party’s chairman Marin Livadaru announced that he vacates the post in favor of a colleague of his according to the principle of rotation, IPN reports.

Marin Livadaru told a news conference that the party will be now headed by Oleg Matvei. The Progressive Society Party aims to show society what real democracy is. The members of the party will promote political culture by giving an example of party management.

The party also decided to withdraw from the agreement to form the Social-Democratic Platform that also includes the Social Democratic Party and the Centrist Union. However, if early parliamentary elections are held, the party will be ready to create joint platforms with parties with a social-democratic ideology.
