The Party of Socialists (PSRM) on December 18 holds its Extraordinary Congress where the party’s chairman and the new composition of the National Council are to be chosen. There will also be set the party’s programmatic objectives, IPN reports.
In a press release, the PSRM says the event will involve about 800 delegates and guests from the country and abroad. The attendees will include high-ranking officials, economists, politologists, experts, leaders and representatives of political parties from the CIS, the EU and Asia. Delegations from 16 states confirmed their participation in the congress.
The event will also involve two deputy chairpersons of the State Duma of the Russian Federation – Vladimir Vasiliev, who heads the party “United Russia” and Olga Epifanova, a member of the Central Committee of the party “A Just Russia”. In the congress, there will be signed memorandums of interparty cooperation with representatives of parties of CIS and EU member states.
The event will take place at Hotel Radison Blu Leogrand in Chisinau starting at 1pm.
