Members of the Political Executive Committee of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) decided that the catastrophic situation in the economy and the social sphere can be stopped only if the opposition forces continue to protest until they obtain the calling of early parliamentary elections. The PSRM’s executive had a meeting on February 9, IPN reports.

According to a press release of the party, the meeting participants examined the political situation in the country and ascertained that the government can yield only under a constant and increasing pressure on all the state institutions.

The PSRM reiterated that only the early legislative elections can take the state institutions out of captivity and that the direct election of the head of state, by the people, represents a solution for overcoming the system crisis in the country.

Thus, the PSRM calls on the people to take part in a peaceful protest near the Government Building, for blocking the Cabinet’s meeting, on February 10.
