The Red Cross Society of China has donated $100,000 to Moldova’s Red Cross Society to help our country handle the consequences of the April heavy snowfall. The information was confirmed to IPN by Larisa Bârca, president of Moldova’s Red Cross Society.
The organization established together with the Government the priorities of how the aid will be used. In particular, it was decided to offer humanitarian aid in the form of food parcels to 6,000 beneficiaries in the worst-hit communities, in the districts of Anenii Noi, Leova, Orhei, Bender, Criuleni, Ungheni, and Basarabeasca and the Gagauz Autonomy.
The donation follows discussions between the Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Chinese Charge d’Affaires in Moldova, Guo Xeuli.
