The last Parliament sitting of the month will be held according to the agenda proposed by the opposition, IPN reports, quoting an amendment to Article 38 of the Parliament’s Regulations approved by the Government.
The changes were formulated by the Ministry of the Interior with a view to implementing the Constitutional Court’s decision of December 4, 2012 and to adjusting the regulations to other countries’ good practices regarding the organization of sittings focusing exclusively on the opposition’s legislative proposals.
Other amendments say the bills or legislative proposals that weren’t included in the agenda of the sittings during the mandate of one legislature become null and void. Also, the new Parliament will continue to examine the bills and proposals included in the agenda of the previous legislative body from where the legislative procedure was
