Representatives of the Orhei Local Organization of the Political Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” (PPPDA) accuse their former leader of betrayal. This is Ion Levinta who, a day ago, announced that he leaves the party together with a number of colleagues of his. Those who remained members of the party said Levinta allowed to be bribed by those who aim to destroy the PPPDA.

Victor Mudrea, chairman of the Orhei Municipal Organization, in a news conference at IPN, said Ion Levinta’s gesture is an attempt to destroy the PPPDA in exchange for a car, office and a salary of 10,000 lei. This was persuaded though the agency of Nicolae Garbu, who is the representative of the one who set the goal of destroying the people’s force.

Tatiana Apostol, deputy head of the Orhei Local Organization, said it is now hard to find a party that would represent and would struggle for the values embraced by most of the people and that would not lay emphasis on nepotism and favoritism. “We made effort to obtain credibility, to be respected by the voters and our results were seen in last autumn’s presidential elections, when our joint candidate polled an overwhelming majority in our district, which is one of the largest in the country,” stated Tatiana Apostol.

Ala Pereu, secretary general of the Orhei organization, stated that using the services of different individuals, the leader of the Democratic Party Vlad Plahotniuc makes effort to corrupt members of the PPPDA so that these leave the political alternative supported by hundreds of protesters. However, most of them refused to take bribe and intend to continue the struggle.

Nicolae Vulpe, head of the primary organization of the PPPDA in Step-Soci, said the created situation shows that someone decided to make profit and enrich oneself, while Plahotniuc’s actions are aimed at destroying the real opposition.

PPPDA member Alexandru Panuta, one of the four persons who were arrested during the April 2016 protests, said the leaving by some members is a natural cleanup process and all the parties go through this.

Four persons, including the head of the Orhei Local Organization of the Political Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” Ion Levinta, on January 16 stated that they decided to leave the party because the PPPDA no longer represents them and they no longer trust its leader Andrei Nastase, who profits from the people’s work and aims to only come to power, according to them.
