Romanian, Moldovan governments to sign two cooperation agreements
The Romanian and Moldovan governments will sign tomorrow, July 17, two cooperation agreements on the occasion of Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta’s visit to Chisinau. One of them is the cooperation protocol between the Ministries of Education and the second is the Plan of actions in the sphere of justice, Info-Prim Neo reports.
On Tuesday, at 9:30 AM, Victor Ponta will arrive at the Government Building, where he will be met by Vlad Filat. The two PMs will have a meeting and from 10:05 will preside the plenary meeting of the delegations which will take place at the State Residence on Nicolae Iorga Street no.23.
At 11:05 AM, a ceremony will be organized to sign the cooperation protocol between the Moldovan Ministry of Education and the Romanian Ministry of Education, Research, Youth and Sport for the school years 2012-2013, 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 and the Plan of actions in the sphere justice for 2012-2013 between the Ministries of Justice of the two countries. After the signing of the two documents, Vlad Filat and Victor Ponta will hold a press conference at the State Residence on Nicolae Iorga St.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration announced that in the second part of the day, the Romanian Prime Minister would meet President Nicolae Timofti, between 2.10 and 2.40 PM, at the State Residence on Nicolae Iorga St. Between 2.45 and 3.05 PM, he will meet with Moldovan Speaker Marian Lupu at the State Residence on Sfatul Tarii St. Finally, between 3:10 and 3:30 PM, he will meet the leader of the Liberal Party Mihai Ghimpu.
This is Victor Ponta’s first official visit in Moldova since his appointment as head of the government in Romania. A group of youth announced they would meet him with a protest rally in solidarity with suspended President Traian Basescu.
