Parliament adopted the decision to declare a set of MP in the Socialist group vacant following the death of MP Irina Mizdrenko, IPN reports.

Irina Mizdrenko entered Parliament in December 2016, after Igor Dodon vacated his seat of MP and became Head of State.

Pensioner Petru Corduneanu, who is a jurist by profession, is the next substitute candidate for MP on the list of the Party of Socialists. If he refuses to occupy the seat, this could be filled by politologist Gaik Vartanean.
