In Moldova there are no political personalities capable of acts of courage, the leader of the People’s Movement “Antimafie” Sergiu Mocanu said in the talk show “Fourth power” on N4 TV channel, IPN reports.

According to Mocanu, the political project of former Prime Minister Iurie Leanca is dangerous for Moldova because the people will become disappointed in it very quickly. “This project of Leanca and his team of peacocks is like a soap bubble. Leanca is a politician who fell off from the cart of the power. He sought support and hoped until the last moment that he will return to the post of Premier. If Leanca had put forward a number of harsh conditions when he was designated as a candidate for premiership, I would have probably supported him now,” he stated.

As to the leader of the PLDM Vlad Filat and the deputy head of the PDM Vladimir Plahotniuc, the leader of “Antimafie” said at least Plahotniuc promised nothing as he prefers to hide behind curtains and to pull the strings. “Filat yet made many promises that he ignored. Leanca was right to leave Filat, who did many evil things,” he stated.

Sergiu Mocanu made some revelations form the time he was adviser on special missions to former President Vladimir Voronin. “My mission was to restore the Moldovan-Romanian relations after Voronin rejected the Kozak memorandum and signed the Moldova – EU plan of action. I did it. Another accomplishment of mine was the fact that I managed to prevent Voronin from replacing the state anthem,” he said.

Asked what he thinks about Ilan Shor, Sergiu Mocanu stated that this bears only 5% of the blame for the theft committed at Banca de Economii (Savings Bank). “When Shor was invited to the National Anticorruption Center for questioning for the second time, there was an arrest warrant against him ready. But Shor was ultimately released, probably for carrying out another mission,” said the leader of “Antimafie”.
