Seven persons injured in traffic accidents

A man was rushed to the hospital with different injuries after the car he was driving was hit head-on by another car on a congested street. Tudor Capatana, senior specialist at the Traffic Police Division's PR department, has told Info-Prim Neo that the accident happened on the Danceni-Suruceni road in Ialoveni district on Thursday evening. One of the drivers aged 36 was admitted to the Chisinau Emergency Hospital. Two drivers from Cahul suffered serious injuries after the cars they were driving collided head-on in downtown. A woman, 29, fractured her left arm after she fell out of a minibus running on route in Chisinau. A Ford Escort and an Opel Astra collided at a parking lot. A 49-year-old woman traveling in one of the cars suffered a concussion. A man aged 28 was struck by a Toyota Carina at the intersection of Mircea cel Batran Blvd. and Ion Dumeniuc St. He received facial and head injuries. The six road accidents that happened in Moldova on Thursday, March 25, resulted in seven persons injured. There were also reported 23 accidents without victims. The traffic police identified 527 cases of violation of traffic rules. Tudor Capatana said the traffic police have the right to confiscate the license plates of the cars with the tinted front windows even if the drivers are not there.
