The simple motion proposed by the Socialist MPs against Minister of Health Ruxanda Glavan wasn’t supported by a majority of votes in the March 2 sitting of Parliament. Only 28 MPs voted for the minister to be dismissed, IPN reports.
Ruxanda Glavan described the motion as demagogy and PR action, noting that the tariffs of medical services were increased owing to the actions or inaction of the signatories of this motion or their party colleagues who held responsible posts in the Cabinet several years ago. If real tariffs for medical services had been applied in time and the relevant indexation had been taken into account, the current situation wouldn’t have been experienced. The tariffs were reviewed at the request of health facilities.
In the debate, the Socialist MPs invoked the excessive and unjustified rise in the tariffs of particular medical services, as the National Anticorruption Center established as a result of an analysis. In some of the cases, the tariffs were increased ten times.
