If legislative elections were held next Sunday, six parties would enter Parliament, shows the Public Opinion Barometer for December that was presented by the Institute for Public Policy, IPN reports.
Thus, 16% of those polled would vote for the Political Party “Our Party”, 12% for the party of the Platform “Dignity and Truth”, 10% for the Party of Socialists, 7% for the Party of Communists and 7% for the European People’s Party of Moldova. The Democratic Party would gain 6% of the vote and would also enter Parliament. The Liberal Party and the Liberal Democratic Party would not pass the election threshold.
Some 32% of the respondents said they will not take part in elections, do not know who to vote for or didn’t answer the question.
The poll shows that if the President of Moldova is elected by the people, 11% of those surveyed would vote for Renato Usatyi, 8% for Igor Dodon, 6% for Maia Sandu, 6% for Vladimir Voronin, 5% for Andrei Nastase, 5% for Iurie Leanca. 47% of the respondents didn’t mention a candidate at this question.
As to the candidate for premiership, 10% of those polled said they want Maia Sandu to hold this post, 8% mentioned Iurie Leanca, who is followed by Igor Dodon, Renato Usatyi and Adrian Nastase. 58% of the respondents don’t know or didn’t answer this question.
Renato Usatyi, Igor Dodon and Maia Sandu enjoy the biggest confidence among the respondents. Some 34% of those interviewed said they trust no political personality. “Vladimir Plahotniuc tops the rankings of the least trusted persons, being followed by Vlad Filat, Nicolae Timofti and Mihai Ghimpu. Adrian Candu and Andrei Nastase are the least known political personalities among the respondents,” said the executive director of the Institute for Public Policy Arcadie Barbarosie.
The survey covered a representative sample of 1,160 persons older than 18. It was carried out between November 8 and December 1.
