Socialist youth to protest against Unionist March in Balti

The Socialist Party's “Garda Tinara” youth movement, along with the association of Ukrainian youth of Moldova and the Gagauz youth organization “Ileri” will protest in Balti, on August 5, against the Unionist March that is to be organized by members and supporters of the civil platform “Actiunea 2012”. The organizers of the anti-march say that they will come with patriotic slogans and will distribute flags with “I love Moldova” messages, reports Info-Prim Neo. Leader of “Garda Tinara” Vlad Batrincea stated in a press conference on Thursday, August 2, that Sunday’s protest action will aim at uniting with other patriotic organizations that want to protest against the Unionist March. Meanwhile, the organizers aim at promoting the “I love Moldova” message and prove to the citizens of Balti that the patriotic forces are stronger than the unionist ones. Vlad Batrincea mentioned that some unionists may provoke the anti-marchers and the police should take measures in this regard. The leader of “Garda Tinara” added that the Unionist March is financed from external sources, and has an anti-constitutional message, since it contravenes the Constitution of Moldova with respect to the statehood of the country.
