The Party of Socialists (PSRM) demand initiating the procedures for denouncing the Association Agreement with the EU and dismissing the current government. If the authorities do nothing during two weeks, the Socialists intend to mount a march that will involve about 50,000 people, IPN reports.
“The largest part of the population is indignant at what is going on and at the losses the people sustain daily. This government could not find solutions to the problems faced by farmers. They could only make a pie. This is a show of a bad taste. The people live below the poverty line and want changes. The Socialists demand denouncing the Association Agreement with the EU and dismissing the Leanca Government. Let them bake pies as they are unable to govern,” the leader of the PSRM Igor Dodon told a news conference.
According to Igor Dodon, in the first sitting of Parliament, the Socialists will register a draft decision on the denouncing of the Association Agreement with the EU. The Socialists also worked out an anti-crisis program that they will make public on September 19. On September 28, the PSRM will stage an extraordinary congress to give the start of the election campaign.
