Socialists seek extraordinary sitting of Parliament

The 24 members of the Socialist parliamentary group want an extraordinary sitting of Parliament to be called for January 28 to discuss only one subject – the annulment of the illegal vote for the Filip Government. To be able to submit a relevant application, the Socialists need ten more signatures, IPN reports.

“I officially address all the members of Parliament who are not controlled by the oligarchic regime, sign this application so that we could go to Parliament together with the whole country on January 28 and demand early elections,” the leader of the Party of Socialists Igor Dodon wrote on a social networking site.

The Socialists challenge the way in which the Filip Government was voted in on January 20, with the program presentation and questions session in the Parliament sitting being skipped over owing to the opposition put up by the Socialist MPs. A large protest was being mounted near the Parliament Building at that time.
