The charitable organization Solutia together with a representative of the Socialist Party took action in the Chisinau Courts of Appeal requesting it to force the Municipality to forbid a march for unification with Romania scheduled for September 16, Info-Prim Neo reports. The plaintiffs rely on the provision of the Law on Assemblies which prohibits meetings that pose a threat to national security or territorial integrity, that incite to crimes, that disturb public order or public morals, that involve mass disturbances, or that violate the rights and freedoms of others. The plaintiffs said that on September 4 they submitted a petition to the City Hall requesting it to ban the procession, but so far it remained unanswered.
