Statistics about Parliament’s work

In the spring-summer session of Parliament, the MPs adopted 149 laws and 33 decisions. From July 31 until September 5 the lawmakers will be on vacation. A number of 39 sittings were held in January-July. The MPs had 344 absences from them, IPN reports, quoting the statistics released by the Parliament’s press service.

The Communist lawmakers had 124 absences, 68 of which were unjustified. The Liberal-Democratic factions had 72 absences, with 20 being unjustified, the Liberal Reformists – 58 absences, 8 of which without reason, while the unaffiliated MPs - 53 absences, 26 of which unjustified. The Democrats were absent 37 times, three times without reason.

The Communist MPs filed also the largest number of challenges (23) and put the largest number of questions (28). The other three factions submitted together 21 challenges and put 23 questions.
