Parliament adopted the law on the system of addresses in the final reading. The document defines standardized principles for the creation and administration of the system of addresses, IPN reports.

The address will include such elements as the name of the state, status and name of the village or town, name of the circulation artery and public circulation area, number of the building, number of the stair or number of the main entrance, number of the isolated space, etc.

There will be special technical requirements for street signs. These should contain the names of arteries and public circulation areas written in the official language. On the initiative of the local public authorities, the information on street signs can be written also in other languages.

In Moldova there are over 1,500 villages and towns.
