Three left-wing parties join forces

The Party of Regions, the Party “Moldova’s Patriots” and the Socialist Party have signed a cooperation agreement, the leaders of the three parties announced in a news conference on May 2, IPN reports.

Mihail Formuzal, who heads the Party of Regions, said the three parties will work together to solve the people’s problems. All the three plead for solving the Transnistrian conflict by federalization and for Moldova joining the Russia – Belarus – Kazakhstan Customs Union.

Mihail Formuzal, Mihail Garbuz (Moldova’s Patriots) and Vladimir Dorojko (the Socialist Party) said that Moldova risks losing its identity as a country and it is now important for the center-left and left-wing parties to join so as to protect  it.

Though the current communication platform was not created for the purpose of running in elections, a possible coalition in the parliamentary elections is not excluded. The three leaders urged other parties to join the cooperation agreement. The call is not yet addressed to those from the left extreme and the right extreme.

A goal of the platform is to discoverer a national leader who will make effort for the parties that signed the agreement to enter Parliament.
