Three more H1N1 suspects reported in Moldova
Three more persons suspected of having caught the A(H1N1) virus were hospitalized Thursday; all three recently traveled abroad, Info-Prim Neo has learned from sources within the Chisinau Emergency Ward.
A 26-year-old woman who returned recently from Ireland fell sick and asked for emergency intervention. The woman was admitted to the Toma Ciorba Hospital, which specializes in communicable diseases. The same hospital admitted another woman, 22, who returned from a trip to Spain and initially sought help at a private clinic. The third case is a 2-year-old child, returned from Italy.
According to the National Center for Preventive Medicine, as of today, August 13, there were reported 45 cases of possible infection with pandemic influenza. Four cases were confirmed.
