The Social Democratic Party, the Centrist Union of Moldova and the Progressive Society Party formed the Social Democratic Platform. The political agreement was signed by the leaders of the three parties on August 4, IPN reports.

The Social Democratic Platform represents a political union that shares the Social-Democratic values based on which the political parties and nongovernmental organizations will be united for building a New Moldova, starting from the principle of direct democracy of the people.

The members of the platform believe the whole society should be united so as to rid the state institutions of the political, administrative and financial control and subjugation of the current government that is considered mafiotic and criminal. They said they will not promote geopolitical views and will concentrate their efforts and potential on the internal problems.
