November 5 was a tragic day for three Moldovan families who lost their relatives in car accidents. A nine-year-old girl was struck by a VAZ on the Cornesti-Poiana route in Ungheni district. The driver was a 28-year-old co-villager of the girl, Adrian Jovmir, the head of the General Police Commissariat's press office, has told Info-Prim Neo. Another accident happened on Calea Iesilor St in Chisinau. A woman aged 71 was hit by a Volkswagen-Golf driven by a 25-year-old man. The woman sustained serious bodily injuries and was rushed to the Emergency Hospital. She died several hours after the accident. The third fatal accident occurred near Marinesti village of Sangerei district. A Chrysler-Neon driven by a 28-year-old woman struck and killed a 41 year-old man from Sangereii-Noi. A pedestrian aged 41 suffered injuries after he was hit by a Citroen driven by a 30-year-old man at the intersection of Dacia Blvd. and Independentei St in Chisinau. The ten traffic accidents that occurred in Moldova on November 5 resulted in three deaths and ten persons injured. Four car accidents happened in Chisinau. One person was killed and two injured in them.
