Tornado ousted from UEFA Futsal Cup

Tornado Chisinau were eliminated in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Futsal Cup, after losing the decisive game against Leotar Bosnia and Herzegovina 3-6, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Balkan side broke the deadlock on 2 minutes through Srjdan Andric. The Moldovans responded incredibly and were cruising 3-1 on 13 minutes, after Andrei Negara, Valeriu Baiesu and Evgheni Frolov netted. Leotar’s Nemanja Miceta reduced the difference before the break. Frolov could have restored Tornado’s 2-goal lead had he converted a penalty kick. Although nothing but victory would have brought qualification, the Moldovans failed to maintain their advantage. Leotar leveled through Vico and then netted three more times, one goal being scored by keeper Dusan Berak. It’s the second year in a row when Tornado are eliminated from the UEFA Cup by a Bosnian team. Last year, the side coached by Sergiu Turcan suffered defeat at the hands of MNK Orlic.
