Two persons die from pandemic flu, Health Ministry keeps silent
Two more deaths caused by pandemic influenza A (H1N1) have been reported in Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The pandemic flu took the lives of a 26-year-old woman, who is the mother of a two-month-old boy, and of a man aged 34 from Anenii Noi. The baby boy is in the hospital as he caught the disease from his mother. His condition is satisfactory.
The Ministry of Health and the National Scientific Practical Center of Preventive Medicine provided no information. The persons who answered the phone calls on 72.10.10 and 0 800 123 00 refused to give information about the two cases, arguing this is 'internal information'. The spokespersons of the two institutions are unavailable.
The National Scientific Practical Center of Preventive Medicine on its website says that 2,946 suspect cases of pandemic flu have been reported in Moldova by this morning. The virus was detected in 1,475 cases. The disease caused the death of ten persons.
