Ukraine is ready to recognize Moldova’s property on its territory, ambassador

“Ukraine is ready to recognize Moldova’s propriety situated on its territory. The related problems will be solved the next years,” Ukrainian Ambassador in Chisinau Serhii Pyrozhkov said during an event dedicated to Ukraine’s Independence Day, Info-Prim Neo reports. “The process of recognizing Moldova’s property in Ukraine has lasted for 20 years. The Republic of Moldova presented the list of facilities it considers its property and wants Ukraine to recognize them. 47 of the 135 facilities have been recognized. They include mainly health centers and sanatoriums in Odessa and Truskovets,” said the diplomat. He also said that Ukraine, for its part, demands recognizing a part of the barrage over the Nistru River and the hydroelectric plant in Dnestrovsk as its property. According to the ambassador, the protocol signed in Kiev last February by the Prime Ministers of the two states was ratified and allows recognizing the facilities built with budget money on the territory of the other country. Consultations are now held on the basis of this protocol. The two countries will solve the related problems if they reach agreements.
