Formulating policy oriented towards the family, work, education, health and social protection is the major objective of Valentina Buliga, the candidate of the Democratic Party (PDM) for the mayoralty of Chisinau, who officially launched her election campaign on April 27. According to Valentina Buliga, the women are the main force in the local administration. I count on most of them, on their support and the support of their families that know how much they work. The PDM's candidate said that it is time to have administration with a firm grip and a gold heart in Chisinau and in all the settlements of Moldova. “We must bring things in order, but not by displaying our weapons and political ambitions, but by showing our care to the people,” she said. Valentina Buliga enumerated ten top priorities that are at the basis of the PDM's platform in the municipality of Chisinau. She said that they will start to be implemented in the election campaign. Valentina Buliga stated that Chisinau should become a place with well-paid jobs where the people are socially protected, while the socially underprivileged groups are integrated into society and respected, where healthcare is accessible and of a high quality. “It is time that the education system prepare the persons for the real life. The children should enjoy high living standards together with their mothers! It is time that the infrastructure and the roads are extensively repaired. The suburban settlements should develop and become an integral part of the city. Corruption should be rooted out by practical methods, not slogans. The capital city should be a true cultural center and a tourist attraction center,” Valentina Buliga said, adding “It's Time”, this being the Democratic Party's slogan for the local elections.
