The Republic of Moldova should join the other states in the common fight against terrorism, especially because our country was included in the list of target states of the Islamic State, former minister of defense Vitalie Marinuta said in the program “Pahomi” on Realitatea TV channel, IPN reports.

“It is important to join all efforts. The Islamic State represents a danger to the whole mankind. The Republic of Moldova can contribute to fighting terrorism from military viewpoint, less from economic viewpoint. We took part in different missions in many counties,” said the ex-minister.

Vitalie Marinuta noted that Moldova is exposed to the risk of terrorist acts and should invest more in security. “I don’t know if we can cope with terrorist attacks similar to those that took place in Paris. We must invest in the security bodies. The neutrality is expensive. We must be able to defend ourselves,” he stated.
