Socialist MP Vlad Batrincea said the package of tax initiatives and fiscal amnesty is not a simulating one as it is intended to clean the capitals. The subjects was discussed in the talk show “Key issue” on NTV Moldova channel, IPN reports.
The MP said the law on fiscal amnesty is intended for a particular category of people. Even if the documents provides that the amnesty will not cover the MPs, prosecutors and judges, Vlad Batrincea said these do not have considerable property registered in their name and this is well known.
Furthermore, this initiative was promoted before the Government presented the draft budget for this year so that the picture was fully clear, as to how the budget will cope with these changes and will cover the costs. “Such reforms are done at the start of the mandate, when a government takes over, not behind the curtains, when this leaves. It is not clear who will implement this budgetary-fiscal policy. It is not clear who will be responsible,” he stated.
Given the reaction of the International Monetary Fund, , Vlad Batrincea anticipates that the institution will reduce financing and will seek explanations from the Moldovan authorities. “The current government can now conduct the election campaign without the European funds, but they cannot do this without the IMF funds, ” stated the Socialist MP.
