The chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) Vlad Filat thanked the Moldovans who cast their votes, saying they should be confident that everything will be fine. The message was transmitted yesterday evening, after the closure of the polling places, IPN reports.
Vlad Filat noted that responsible discussions on the further actions with the parties that will enter Parliament will be held after the final election results are announced so as to make sure that there is peace and stability in the country and that Moldova remains an independent and sovereign state, not a vassal that is regularly subject to bans and threats. “We must all learn a harsh lesson for the future. By humiliation we will never manage to build the state we want. We can do this and will do it with dignity and courage and by hard work,” he stated.
According to the preliminary results announced after 87.7% of the records submitted by the electoral bureaus of polling places were processed, the PLDM gained 19.305% of the vote.
