Vlad Filat is the most influential politician of the year, according to a poll conducted by the Strategic Researches and Political Consultancy Center “Politicon”. Every month, political experts, analysts and sociologists will give grades on a 0 to 10 scale to the most influential politicians, Info-Prim Neo reports. The politician of 2010 Vlad Filat, besides grades of 9 and 8, got 18 grades of 10. The second position is taken by Marian Lupu, who got grades of 5 to 10. Mihai Ghimpu comes third with grades of 6 to 10. The next influential politicians in the rankings are Iurie Leanca, Alexandru Tanase, Dorin Chirtoaca, Vladimir Voronin, Vlad Plahotniuc, Dumitru Diacov, and Valeriu Lazar. The other politicians got grades of 3 to 10, while Vladimir Voronin was also given grades of 0. Anatol Taranu, the head of the Strategic Researches and Political Consultancy Center “Politicon”, said Vladimir Voronin did not deserve grades of 0 as he meets the set criteria. The last in the 50 most influential politicians rankings are Nicolai Dudoglo, Viorel Chetraru and Leonid Bujor. Anatol Taranu said he personally gave grades of 10 to Vlad Filat and Marina Lupu. “During the last two years and a half, Vlad Filat has achieved remarkable results,” he said. The politicians were assessed by 27 experts according to four criteria, namely public fame, capacity to influence, political prospects, and attention from the media. “The study is made on the basis of a methodology. The experts give grades to 100 politicians, but the rankings include only 50 of them. Every month, the last ten politicians are replaced by another ten,” said Anatol Taranu. The project is financed from own resources and by a foreign company. The Researches and Political Consultancy Center “Politicon” is an independent investigation and consultancy center.
