Prime Minister Vlad Filat is not able to head a coalition government, considers the leader of the National Liberal Party (PNL) Vitalia Pavlichenko. In a news conference held at Info-Prim Neo on July 14, she said that the message sent by Vlad Filat after the consultations he had with society reveals his intension to fully subdue the government and block the election of the head of state.
“Vlad Filat conveyed a message that shows he is unable to lead a coalition government as such an activity implies tolerance, patience, dialogue, transparence, firmness and principality. He looked like a well-informed political analyst who prepared for a talk-show. He appraised the work of others, not his own work. As a Prime Minister, he did not refer to the priorities for clear European prospects. The PLN regrets that Vlad Filat’s message did not remain in the sphere of governmental responsibilities, but moved to a political and personal sphere,” said Vitalia Pavlichenko.
The PNL considers that the AEI’s unwillingness to have a dialogue can be interpreted as lack of political will and inability to formulate and achieve concrete objectives. “It seems that Vlad Filat wants to rule in an authoritarian Communist style. Doesn’t Vlad Filat cause blockage in the Government and the ruling alliance by this lack of dialogue? This blockage is generated by lack of communication, discussion and coordination of actions. What did Vlad Filat do as Premier and political leader to accelerate reforms?” asked Vitalia Pavlichenko.
The party expressed its concern about Vlad Filat’s tolerance towards the PCRM. “We will penalize Vlad Filat for his actions if they are aimed at destroying the AEI and represent a direct or indirect game with the PCRM,” said Vitalia Pavlichenko. According to her, the leader of the AEI should pledge publicly that they will not vote together with the PCRM. The PNL proposes holding public debates on personalizing the three main posts in the state. “If Vlad Filat cannot make sure that the governmental team is efficient, he should better withdraw for the society’s benefit. If he prepares to act in concert with the PCRM, he should say this openly and assume responsibility for the destruction of the ruling alliance,” she added.
In his public speech made after holding consultations with society, Vlad Filat criticized some of the ministers, who, according to him, instead of working for the people, make statements for show. The Premier said that the ministers who will not fulfill their duties will be discharged in the future. He also said that the termination of the dialogue with the opposition was one of the AEI’s biggest mistakes.
