Vlad Plahotniuc trusts propsects of ruling alliance

First Deputy Speaker and vice president of the Democratic Party (PDM) avoided commenting for the press on the latest events that took place within the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM), which is a government coalition partner, but said they should not affect the Alliance for European Integration (AEI). He emphasized he trusts the prospects of the ruling alliance, Info-Prim Neo reports. Vlad Plahotniuc said the maintenance of the AEI is a major objective for all the components of the alliance and for the entire country. He stated he will support any solution proposed for electing the head of state, which will meet two conditions – will stabilize the political situation and will be in accordance with the legislation of Moldova. As to the chances of obtaining the two votes needed from the Opposition, the First Deputy Speaker said the whole parliamentary group of the Communist Party should become more responsible. The vice president of the Democratic Party denied the rumors that he orchestrated certain events, saying he is waiting to find out who the ‘puppeteer’ is after the June 5 local elections. Referring to MP Mihai Godea’s statements about the three ‘Vlads’ who control the national economy, Vlad Plahotniuc said many persons make assertions during the election campaign in order to make themselves noticed. He stressed the politicians should be careful about what they say.
