Democratic Party (PDM) vice-president Vlad Plahotniuc says that the statements made Liberal-Democratic Party leader Vlad Filat can be regarded as pressure on the Constitutional Court, on the Alliance for European Integration and society. This comes in reaction to Vlad Filat’s statement on Wednesday that PLDM won’t vote for the amendment of the Constitution through organic law, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“These statements raise a question: PLDM wants to find a solution or to marginalize its alliance colleagues? Any agreed or endorsed act can be modified, but this decision must be a common one”, said Plahotniuc.
Plahotniuc added that his party wasn’t obsessed with functions and wanted the stabilization of the political situation in the country.
After the Government’s meeting on Wednesday, Vlad Filat told reporters that PLDM wouldn’t participate in the amendment of the Constitution through organic law that would change the way of electing the head of the state. According to the Liberal-Democratic leader, it’s time to talk about what kind of President Moldova really needs and not only that someone wants to become President and continuously refers to the AIE's founding agreement. The Prime Minister stressed that the reality might impose the modification of the AIE agreement.
