The president of the PCRM Vladimir Voronin proposes that Moldova should switch to summer time for good, as Russia. “I think Moldova should no more change the time after switching to summer time in March,” Vladimir Voronin told the journalists, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. The Communist leader said the children and the elderly adjust themselves to the new time with difficulty. “The state of health is affected and the costs are high,” he stated. Russia recently announced that it will no more return to winter time as the change causes stress and disease. Moldova sets the clocks back one hour on the last Sunday of October and returns to summer time on the last Sunday of March. This year, Moldova will switch to summer time on March 27.
