Voronin tells Dodon he has a pipe dream
The leader of the Party of Communists (PCRM) Vladimir Voronin replied to Igor Dodon, saying there are no chances for Violeta Ivanov, Oxana Domenti, Galina Balmus and Sergiu Sirbu to leave the Communist parliamentary group. “It’s a pipe dream. I explained why they do such things. I don’t know what Ceban (who left the PCRM recently) told you yesterday, but the price of these betrayals is very high,” Vladimir Voronin said in a news conference on Wednesday, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
“I have no suspicion about my colleagues and never had. I believe in them until the last moment,” he stated, adding that it’s too late for Igor Dodon to form a faction as it is two years of the constitution of the present legislature.
After the ex-Communist Ion Ceban joined the group of Socialists in Parliament, their group increased to four members. Under the legislation, a faction must include at least five lawmakers. The legal commission Wednesday approved the Liberal Party’s bill that bans the formation of parliamentary groups 10 days after the constitution of Parliament.
In a televised program earlier, Igor Dodon said there are few persons who deserve forming part of the Party of Socialists, and his party needs only several professionals from the PCRM, including Violeta Ivanov, Oxana Domenti, Galina Balmus, and Sergiu Sirbu.
