The Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office sent to court a criminal case started against three police officers – two employees of the National Patrolling Inspectorate and an investigation officer of the Chisinau Police Division – over attempt to hush up a case of document forgery, IPN reports.
According to prosecutors, the denouncer was contacted by phone by the investigation officer and informed that she is investigated for holding and keeping false documents. The woman phoned an older acquaintance of her – a female police officer on maternity leave – and asked her to help solve the problem. The woman police officer, together with a colleague who was on paternity leave, promised they will help the woman in exchange for €3 350.
The money was transmitted in two tranches under the control of officers of the National Anticorruption Center.
