A woman aged 29 was found dead in a wooded strip in Colonita village of Chisinau municipality. The police arrested a young man who is suspected of beating and asphyxiating the victim, IPN reports.

According to the Chisinau Police Division, the police were informed about the woman’s disappearance on May 26. As a result of searches, the woman’s body was found in the wooded strip with signs of a violent death on it.

The suspect, 28, was earlier tried. This is from Tohatin commune of Chisinau municipality. According to the police, the victim and the aggressor drank alcoholic beverages together on May 25.

The man is investigated for intentional murder and faces 15 to 20 years in jail or life.

Ten days ago, the body of a 20-year-old woman was found in a bag on the bank of a pond in Gratiesti village of Chisinau municipality. A suspect aged 32 was arrested. The victim was from Cricova town, as is the suspect.
